Job Purpose
Responsible for carrying out/assisting in carrying out different investigations.
Minimum Requirement
The following qualifications or equivalents are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
Educational Qualification: Certificate holder from recognized institutions for respective areas.
Current CPR required.
Elora Registration for attachment to CCA institution.
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Sound subject knowledge and good analytical and assessment skills, technical skills.
Responsibilities:
Patient related
To receive patients.
To check the requisition form to confirm patient’s name, MRN, code number and investigation(s) required.
To explain the preparation required, the procedure and the special precautions required as applicable.
To support in preparing the patient both physically and mentally for the investigation.
To enquire /ensure that the patient is prepared.
To ensure correct positioning for carrying out the procedure.
To assist doctors / carry out the procedures.
To take care of the patient and the equipment after investigation.
To inform the patient of the report collection time.
To give priority to emergency cases.
To coordinate with the other sections of the department as necessary.
To schedule appointments for investigations and special procedures if any.
To ensure safety of patient and self.
To ensure necessary radiation safety rules are followed.
Other Responsibilities:
To maintain registers and submit for auditing.
To indent consumables and maintain optimal stock of the same.
To maintain and update record of consumables used for the procedures like X-Ray films used, etc.
To report all the relevant issues to reporting manager.
To ensure following of biomedical waste management procedures.
To maintain good departmental and interdepartmental relations.
To maintain discipline.
To attend training and developmental programs.
Assists with equipment maintenance logs (e.g., department stock, crash cart, refrigerator, temperature logs etc.).
