Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for receiving the admission information and planning and receiving the incoming patient.

  • Ensure that the room/bed is ready for patient care.

  • Coordinates with the admission desk/medical records and sees to it that file reaches the ward on time.

  • Coordinate with maintenance department for any kind of maintenance related issues.

  • Coordinate with biomedical department for any biomedical issues.

  • Check on their respective floors for any requirements infrastructure wise.

  • Check for any pending surgery clearances and organize/track for closure.

  • Interact with the consultants for any specific instructions regarding billing or specific clinical requirements.

  • Check on the outstanding report and make the advance payment slips for distribution by floor coordinators.

  • Coordinate with the concerned diagnostic department for getting the investigations done as per the instructions from the clinician.

  • Retrieve old files from MRD as per requirement.

  • Take informed consent from patient/attendant for tests to be done as per the standard operating protocol.

  • Explain about facilities and other formalities to patient/attendant.

  • Track pending medications and services and follow up to ensure closure in a timely manner.

  • For all transfer patients to call the attendant and update them about the category of beds and understand their eligibility and allot rooms accordingly.

  • For all new clearances for procedures, talk to the patients and ensure payments with least possible outstanding.

  • To coordinate with the financial counselors / billing department regarding the estimate given and the current bills to ensure continuous bill updating with necessary documentation.

  • Indenting and maintaining stationery (including letter heads, registers, paper bundles, feedback forms, advance payment slip books) for respective floor.

  • To coordinate with consultants for video counselling for critical cases

  • Responsible for any such other activity entrusted by the management from time to time.

  • Detailed ongoing financial counselling for all inpatients and critical area patients to ensure the minimal amount outstanding.

  • Reading through all feedback forms and calling back patients for better understanding of problems and issues faced where needed. Speaking to necessary stakeholders regarding the feedback and ensuring corrective actions. Call back the patients as and when required for updating.

  • Tabulate data from all the respective nurse stations for preparation of data for the AQAC ppt & IP MIS.

  • Based on the daily feedback, interaction with maintenance and F&B for issue resolution or corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with the nurse incharge and supervisor and clinical team for smooth stay of the patient. Call for intervention in case of any complaints received.

  • Coordinate collection of problematic/delayed reports and handover.
